The Bio2Bio project contributes to new types of biostimulants and biopesticides. It investigates material from organic waste streams and by-products from food industries in Flanders. Bio2Bio has created a library of crude extracts which are being characterised on a bioassay screening platform. The screening platform gathers the expertise from a variety of in vitro, greenhouse and field tests to evaluate biostimulatory and biopesticidal activities. The database is a “one-stop shop” to explorer Bio2Bio data, providing leads for new biostimulant and/or biopesticide discoveries.
